A six-year-old girl and her father were found dead at their home, raising concerns in the West Lothian community after she missed school.
The alarm was raised when the girl didn’t show up for school. Officers quickly responded and gained access to the property.
Detective Chief Inspector Bob Williamson shared that the family is understandably devastated. He emphasized the need for answers during this tough time.
He also mentioned that there’s no indication of anyone else being involved. They’re asking anyone with information to come forward, no matter how small it may seem.

Local resident Marlyn Williamson expressed her worries about the long-term impact on the community. She felt horrible about the incident happening so close to home.
Marlyn mentioned that her mother was very upset, tapping family pictures on the wall as she went to bed. The community is in shock, especially with many young families around.
West Lothian Council reassured parents that the tragic deaths were not linked to Parkhead Primary School. The school remains open, and they encourage anyone with information to contact the police.
Councillor Damian Doran-Timson expressed his sorrow for the family and friends affected.
Father Martin from Our Lady & St Bridget’s Catholic Church offered condolences and support to the grieving family. He noted that such tragedies are rare in their small community.
