Maldon Council is investing £85,000 to revamp the amphitheatre, enhancing its accessibility and structural integrity for community events and performances.
This amphitheatre has been around for 20 years. It’s a popular spot for events and performances in Promenade Park. The council plans to finish the work in about three weeks, weather permitting.
They’ll be removing and rebuilding parts of the structure. New steps and ramps will make it easier for folks to access. A council spokesperson mentioned that the current wings need some serious work.
