In a significant operation, Edinburgh police have seized £600,000 worth of cannabis plants from multiple locations, leading to two arrests.
Edinburgh: The police have been busy lately. They just seized a whopping £600,000 worth of cannabis in a big operation. This all went down in the south-east part of the city.
They found around 1000 cannabis plants at four different properties. These were located in areas like Captain’s Drive, Ochiltree, and Southhouse. Pretty wild, right?
The community policing team got some tips and acted fast. They followed up on the intel, which led to this major bust. Just last week, they also seized 500 plants from Ochiltree Gardens, valued at £300,000.
So far, two people have been arrested, and the investigation is still ongoing. Police Scotland mentioned that their team has been working hard to tackle this issue.
They said, “In the last week, we’ve recovered drugs worth £600,000 from four properties.” It’s good to see the police taking action and keeping the community safe.
