Edinburgh Zoo is offering a unique £2,000 experience to feed tigers, including lunch and a chance to interact with various animals
Edinburgh: Have you heard about the new experience at Edinburgh Zoo? They’re offering a chance to feed tigers for a whopping £2,000! It’s a pretty unique deal for animal lovers.
This special package is called the Build Your Own Wild Experience. It includes lunch, a coffee and cake voucher, and a 30-minute session with four different animals. Plus, you get the rest of the day to explore the zoo!
You’ll get to feed two Sumatran tigers, Dharma and Lucu, from a safe area. It’s all supervised, so no worries there. You’ll use tongs to feed them bits of meat like beef and rabbit.
Lindsay Ross, the events manager, assures everyone that it’s safe. You won’t be in the main enclosure, so you can enjoy the experience without any risk. She says it’s amazing to see these majestic creatures up close.
But that’s not all! You can also feed Asiatic lions and even enter some cages to stroke or feed other animals. It’s a real treat for anyone who loves wildlife.
Even though it’s pricey, the zoo says there’s a demand for these experiences. They had a successful £5,000 private tour before, so they’re hoping this will be just as popular.
They already have packages for getting closer to some animals, but this one is more personalized. You can even feed penguins or hold an armadillo!
And if you’re into sloths, you can feed them too, but only with tongs since they have sharp claws. It sounds like a blast!
Ross mentioned that they’re pretty unique in offering this kind of experience. It’s not something you find at every zoo, that’s for sure!
