Trains in Essex are facing significant delays this morning due to engineering work overruns, causing cancellations and disruptions for commuters.
Essex: This morning, trains are really struggling. There are major delays because of engineering work that ran over time. All lines are blocked between Shenfield and Southend Victoria.
Greater Anglia warned that services to and from these stations might be cancelled or delayed. The mess started around 5 am, and it looks like it’ll last for a while.
If you’re traveling on c2c, they’re accepting Greater Anglia tickets between Southend Central and Fenchurch Street. The Southminster branch is also feeling the heat with cancellations.
Greater Anglia is working hard to find replacement buses between Wickford and Southminster. They’re really sorry for the hassle this is causing.
