I visited two nearby McDonald’s for breakfast and found one had friendlier staff than the other, despite both serving the same food.
Basildon: You know how McDonald’s are everywhere? Well, Basildon has six of them! And guess what? There’s a new one in Pitsea, just a short walk away.
This new McDonald’s opened near Pitsea Market. I was curious to see how it compared to the older one nearby. So, I decided to check it out.
The new spot looked fresh and clean. I ordered a breakfast wrap and a Diet Coke. The service was quick, and there was hardly a line.
The wrap was tasty, just like you’d expect from McDonald’s. After that, I walked over to the other branch, which is only three minutes away.
This second McDonald’s has a drive-thru, so it was busier. I got another breakfast wrap but couldn’t finish it. I was just too full!
Surprisingly, both wraps tasted the same. The second place was clean and organized, and I barely waited in line again.
So, what’s the big difference? The staff at the older McDonald’s were amazing. I saw them handle a customer complaint with a smile, and they were super friendly.
The new branch’s staff were nice too, but they didn’t seem as engaged. Both places were quiet when I visited, which makes you wonder if Pitsea really needs two McDonald’s so close together.
