Pitsea: I recently checked out The Range in Essex for the first time. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. It’s like the less popular cousin of Home Bargains. But wow, it’s a massive superstore! You can find almost anything there. It’s perfect for running multiple errands in one go.

Did you know this store almost didn’t happen? Back in 2015, The Range announced it would open in Pitsea after Morrisons dropped its plans for the area. The store was built in a space meant for a supermarket, so it’s huge! When it opened in 2016, I had to see what all the buzz was about.

And let me tell you, they’ve made great use of that space. There are aisles filled with kitchenware, home decor, furniture, and even beauty products. Plus, there’s a mini Iceland inside! It’s a bit strange but kind of cool. You can grab frozen food and a new sofa all in one trip.

The best part? There’s a lovely cafe right in the middle. They serve jacket potatoes, coffee, and more. It’s a perfect spot to relax after shopping. If you love Home Bargains, you should definitely check out this giant The Range. And hey, the UK’s biggest Tesco is just a five-minute drive away. Make a day of it!
