Thaxted: A court is hearing some pretty intense details about a murder case. The victim, Richard Langley, had bruises on his arms. Experts say these marks likely came from him trying to shield himself during the attack.

Kevin Horswill, the accused, is denying he murdered Langley last March. He allegedly got angry after a fight between Langley and his partner. After that, he went to Langley’s home and is accused of strangling him with his own shirt. Horswill claims he was acting in self-defense.

A forensic pathologist testified about the bruises. She explained that they could be from falling or from someone else attacking. But with multiple bruises in the same area, it seems more likely Langley was trying to protect himself.

The pathologist also noted that the bruises were fresh, indicating they happened around the time of his death. The trial is still ongoing, and it’s definitely a case to keep an eye on.
