Upminster: A cozy and quirky cocktail bar has just been named the best in Essex. The Fête Lounge won the title after readers shared their favorites. It’s a popular spot for both locals and celebs.
Opened in 2016 by husband and wife Joshi and Nooreen, Fête has grown steadily. They’ve created a relaxed atmosphere with over 100 cocktails on the menu. One reader called it their “go-to bar.”
Fête isn’t just about drinks. They offer cocktail masterclasses, afternoon teas, and bottomless brunches. Inspired by Nooreen’s Caribbean roots, many drinks have a tropical twist.
One standout is the Piarco Popcorn Tini, a mix of coconut rum, popcorn syrup, caramel, and sea salt. Nooreen says it’s nostalgic and reminds people of the cinema.
Fête has attracted some famous visitors too. Love Island star Zara McDermott has been there, along with Eddie Hearn and Jacqueline Jossa. They’ve even hosted private events for these celebs.
