Now, here’s the kicker. Southend Victoria and Southend Central are only a 9-minute walk apart. But if you want to travel between them by train, it takes about two hours!
To walk to the stations, you’ll cover just under half a mile along the high street. But if you hop on a train, you’ll need to go into London first. Crazy, right?
For instance, from Southend Victoria, you take a 53-minute train ride to Stratford. Then, you switch to the c2c line to get to Southend Central, which takes at least another hour.
Keep in mind, the c2c line doesn’t run all the time. So, your trip could take over an hour just to get to another station in the same city. It’s a bit wild, but it’s good to know!
