Lothian Buses are suspending all services in Edinburgh due to severe weather warnings, prioritizing safety for everyone involved.
Edinburgh: Lothian Buses is pulling all services on Friday. This is due to a red weather warning for strong winds. They made this tough call to keep everyone safe.
All buses will stop running between 10am and 5pm on January 24. The company plans to return vehicles to depots between 8am and 9am. They know this will cause some hassle.
But safety is their top priority. Local schools are closing, and trains across Scotland are also cancelled. Many flights are grounded because of the severe weather.
A spokesperson for Lothian shared the news on social media. They said they’re monitoring the situation closely. Services will only resume when it’s safe to do so.
They expect that buses won’t be back on the roads before 5pm. So, if you’re in Edinburgh, plan accordingly and stay safe out there!
